Kristian Marr's band No Sugar
"Towers of London" were graced with his stand-in presence in 2007. Marr played lead guitar in this British Punk band that fused glam metal with more traditional rock styles. They enjoyed a lengthy stint on the live circuit supporting big name bands such as "Guns n' Roses" and the "New York Dolls" gaining them media attention.
Amy Winehouse was one of the first household names to recognise Marr's talents and encouraged him to pursue a solo career. Fully aware of industry standards and expectations she provided a much-desired mentor to the budding musician. Investing in him to record his first album with "Spring Heeled Jack"! This is a project where Kristian appears on vocals as well as his usual role of lead guitarist. The band boasts an enviable Rock n Roll repertoire.
Since 2012 Kristian has been churning out the riffs with Rock and Blues band, originating from Oldham, "Proud Mary". Noel Gallagher contributed to the band and signed them as the first act to appear on his Sour Mash roster. They are well known on the festival circuit and have played tours along with the likes of Ryan Adams and Neil Young.
Since 2010 Kristian has formed very well attended Blues Nights around North London proving his power to pull a good crowd. Including in his house band has been Slide Guitarist Bob Weston from Fleetwood Mac and Drummer Jon Moss from Culture Club. He would also bring in regular members from Spring Heeled Jack and The Lipstick Melodies.
Kristian has also dabbled with the French connection, joining his friend Peter Doherty for gigs in Paris and even featuring in the film, "Confession of a child of the Century" alongside the artist. He was on stage July 2014 supporting the Libertines at Hyde Park Festival (London).
Kristian also has a love for film. In November 2014 he moved to Paris for 6 weeks to play the lead role in the new feature film (Malgret La Nuit) along side actors Paul Hamy and Arianne Labed. Directed by Phillippe Grandrieux. This is due for release summer 2015. You will also be able to see him with his role in the new Film Set the Thames on Fire, due for release in 2015. Directed by Ben Charles Edwards. Staring Noel Fielding, Sally Phillips and Sadie Frost.
Recently he has been playing Summer shows with the Lipstick Melodies a band formed in 2008. Guitar driven blues Rock n Roll..
On Feburary the 20th 2015 Kristian played a series of acoustic shows throughout Northern Italy.
Kristian is currently working on his new project NO SUGAR. with a brand new lineup and will be gigging his new material 2015.

Here's a screenshot from a video I've just shot a video with multimedia artist Paul Hooker for my new single, Eagle Song which will be out on June 27th, to coincide with a very cool gig I'll be playing in London with my band.
Eagle Song will be the lead track off a new EP that I'll be releasing later in the year, followed by a second EP.
The gig will be on Saturday 27th June in the afternoon, at The Stables, Camden.
